Indefinite-term employment for 34 employees and 20 contracts for permanent seasonal workers

Crikvenica, 4 September 2023

The Management Board of Jadran and trade unions have agreed on indefinite-term employment contracts with 34 permanent employees and 20 contracts with permanent seasonal workers, ensuring future employee stability.

On the initiative of trade unions welcomed by Jadran d.d., a further increase in the number of permanent employees has been agreed. At the meeting held in late August it was agreed that 34 employees, primarily chefs, servers and room cleaning staff, will be offered permanent contracts in an effort to ensure workforce stability. A majority of them live in the area between Crikvenica and Senj and this is a clear signal of supporting the incentive of hiring locally.

At the end of July this year Jadran had a total of 461 employees, 204 with permanent contracts. That is a third more than last year and that enabled, according to trade union leaders, significantly better working conditions for all employees, especially in high season.

Special attention is given to employees coming back to work after extended absence due to sick leave or maternity leave. A special re-boarding plan has been designed to enable them to catch up with work processes, involving shorter hours and more frequent breaks during the workday. Fostering employee wellbeing and creating optimum work conditions leads to better productivity and, above all, employee satisfaction.
